At Bury Music, we place children and young people at the centre of everything we do. We believe every learner deserves the freedom to create, express themselves and feel safe, supported, and valued. Our work is rooted in helping young musicians achieve their goals, grow in confidence, and experience the joy and benefits of working alongside others from their smallest beginnings into a lifelong love and understanding of music and music-making.

Our Mission

Music remains an entitlement for all. When delivered as part of a broad, ambitious and inclusive curriculum, it positively shapes children’s wellbeing, cognitive development, confidence, and sense of belonging. This mission, shaped and guided by the national plans and best practice in music education continues to guide our work: to ensure that all children, regardless of background or circumstance, have access to high‑quality music education, opportunities to learn instruments, sing, create music with others, and progress their skills and knowledge.

As the world continues to evolve significantly since the global pandemic. Schools and families now operate in a landscape shaped by digital learning, increased focus on wellbeing, and the need for flexible, resilient provision. Bury Music remains committed to adapting with these changes — prioritising pupil safety, supporting schools’ individual needs, and providing consistent, high‑quality musical experiences.
